In Taiwan, dealing with sugarcane waste is a headache to cane farms and processing plants. Cost of waste management fees can be high and most of the waste is burnt right in the field, causing air pollution and greenhouse gases.

To solve this issue, Ju Tian developed a new way of manufacturing sugarcane waste into compostable straw. This is our action not just in supporting communities, but also building a sustainable environment where we called home.

Features

Our sugarcane straws come with natural and unique colors of plant fibers. A slight fragrance of brown sugar can be found if you bring them up close to your nose, but it does not affect the flavor of drinks! 

Storage Condition

There is no need for special storage. We suggest you to store our products in room temperature away from direct sunlight and humidity. 

Shelf Life

The shelf life is around 12 months. Natural degradation may happen after 12 months but we expect our products to still withstand normal usage. 

Heat Resistance

Standard Compostable Straw is heat resistant up to 50°C/122 °F. It is not recommended to be used in hot beverages.

Certified by FDA, Din Certco,
BPI, EU10/2011,SVHC, Gluten-Free
and PIDC plastic-free test.

Disposal

This product contains PLA. After usage, please discard the straw to trash. They can be either incinerated or buried. During the incineration, our bio-based products do not release any toxic chemicals. If buried in landfills, they simply degrade into H2O, CO2 and nutrients.
